Pebbles

Water Treatment Pebbles Filtration Media is manufactured though an active statistical processing control program monitoring material by the process of washing, drying and grading as per stringent specifications standard of ANSI/AWWA B100-09 and ASTM E11 test sieve standards.
Pebbles are used in Water Treatment Filtration Media with Silica Sand, Anthracite, Activated Carbon, Birm, Pumice and Garnet in portable water treatment, R.O. reverse Osmosis treatment plant, surface water treatment, swimming pool water treatment, and wastewater treatment also in conventional water treatment filters.

Fluid Systems Gravel and water filter pebble is composed of sub-angular, hard, durable, and dense grains of predominately siliceous material. Extracted from a clean glacial deposit, Fluid Systems Minerals Gravel and Pebble’s physical properties make it among the finest available in the world for water filtration applications. Fluid Systems water filter gravel is washed, kiln dried, and screened to meet exact in g specifications with strict adherence to quality control. Sand and gravel make good water filters because they form permeable layers. When comparing the rate of flow between different filters, it is generally found that the tighter the spaces in the filter, the slower the flow of water. These small spaces cause tiny dirt particles to be trapped in the filter media.

Silica pebbles are widely used for domestic and industrial purpose. Silica pebbles are used in Ceramics industry, Glass industry, Water filter, Ball mill and Grinding media for potteries works. Pebbles come in various colors and textures and can have streaks, known as veins, of quartz or other minerals. Pebbles are mostly smooth but, dependent on how frequently they come in contact with the sea, they can have marks of contact with other rocks or other pebbles. Pebbles left above the high water mark may have growths of organisms such as lichen on them, signifying the lack of contact with seawater.
